Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Associate Cost Manager to join our growing Real Estate team, delivering high-quality cost management services across a diverse portfolio of developments including commercial, residential, mixed-use, and urban regeneration projects.

You will take responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, often on large or complex property projects, acting as the key day-to-day client interface to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end cost management across real estate development projects
• Act as the primary client contact, ensuring successful project delivery against cost, time, and quality objectives
• Prepare and manage cost plans, estimates, procurement, and tender processes
• Oversee post-contract activities including cost reporting, valuations, and change control
• Monitor project financial performance, including forecasting and resource management
• Build strong relationships with clients, developers, and project stakeholders
• Support business development through bids, client engagement, and market opportunities
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to team and process improvements

Qualifications

Education & Professional Accreditation

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Property, or a related discipline
• MRICS, AIQS or equivalent professional qualification (or working towards)

Experience & Skills

• 6–11 year's experience in cost management or quantity surveying
• Proven experience delivering consultancy services on real estate or property developments
• Experience leading cost management commissions on medium to large-scale commercial, residential, or mixed-use projects
• Strong understanding of the full real estate development lifecycle, from feasibility through to post-completion 
• Solid knowledge of construction and commercial principles, including procurement routes, value management, and cost control
• Experience managing or mentoring teams within a project environment
• Strong client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills
