What you'll do

  • Support seasonal development calendar in partnership with Designer/Technical Designers/Developers to hit all key milestone dates
  • Maintain awareness of the corporate calendar and support the design team with deadlines. Prioritize multiple overlapping tasks across active seasons to ensure all development milestones are met on or ahead of schedule
  • Manage specific categories through the product creation cycle. Prepare accurate development packages, including sketch, style details, construction call-outs, materials, trims, artwork, color information and relevant washes and finishing details
  • Create and update technical sketches, BOMs, PLM & Miro board updates for assigned categories and products as needed
  • Manage follow-up and comments for proto samples, lab dips, trims, artwork, washes, and other key development submits
  • Manage in-season development through the organization of seasonal binders including all submits for lab dips, materials, trim development, etc.
  • Attend and participate in fit sessions. Taking detailed notes and follow up as needed with TD & PD teams
  • Shop the market on a regular basis for ideas and inspiration. Research and identify trends that are relevant to the Huckberry customer
  • Support the design team with presentation prep for cross-functional and milestone meetings as needed

At Huckberry, we build apparel meant to be lived in - built for weekend escapes, daily routines, and everything in between. We need an Associate Designer with an uncompromising eye for menswear to help steer our in-house lines from inspiration to production. In this role, you’ll act as the glue between Merchandising, Tech, and Production, managing product lifecycles and keeping active seasons moving on or ahead of schedule. If you’re an entrepreneurial self-starter who gets fired up about fabric, fit, and functional design, we want to hear from you.

This role is based out of our headquarters in Austin, TX; relocation support will be provided to a remote hire.
