The Opportunity: 

Revolution Medicines is seeking a highly motivated and scientifically driven field-based Associate Director, Medical Advisor PDAC to jump start national Medical Affairs activities in Germany. This role will report to the Director, Field Medical Advisor Germany. This position will be instrumental in driving scientific excellence, clinical insight, and generating local medical strategy supporting our oncology pipeline and marketed products. The field-based Associate Director Medical Advisor PDAC will serve as national medical expert within the upcoming German affiliate, ensuring scientific integrity and alignment with global and European medical affairs and clinical objectives. The position will require close collaboration with cross-functional partners including clinical development, clinical operations, regulatory, commercial, HEOR, market access, and other field medical teams across Europe.

Primary responsibilities of the Associate Director, Field Medical Advisor PDAC, Germany are summarized below.

  • Establish and maintain trusted scientific relationships with the most important key opinion leaders (KOLs), investigators, and healthcare professionals across Germany.

  • Provide medical oversight and scientific input to cross-functional teams in Germany, ensuring alignment with regulatory and compliance standards.

  • Collaborate with the Medical Science Liaison team, European Medical Affairs, and clinical research departments to support scientific exchange, education, and data dissemination activities across the country.

  • Contribute medical input in promotional and non-promotional materials and adopt global material for local needs and conduct internal training.

  • Plan and execute national medical meetings and symposia at national congresses.

  • Plan and execute national advisory boards and medical congress participation to enhance scientific visibility.

  • Lead approval process of national investigator-initiated trials and clinical research activities in Germany in collaboration with global and regional teams.

  • Align insights into the competitive and scientific landscape generated from the field to inform internal strategy and make them actionable.

  • Partner with HEOR and RWE to develop real-world evidence and outcomes research projects.

  • Partner with market access and support the generation of the AMNOG dossier as well as the GBA oral hearing and the price negotiations with the GKV-SV.

  • Collaborate closely with Clinical Operations and CROs, align site suggestions by the MSL team, and participate in investigator meetings.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Advanced scientific or medical degree (MD, PharmD, or PhD) required; oncology experience strongly preferred.

  • 7-9 years of experience in Medical Affairs in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.

  • Strong understanding of oncology clinical development, evidence generation, and treatment landscape.

  • Proven ability to interpret and communicate complex scientific and clinical data.

  • Experience engaging with healthcare professionals, academic researchers, and medical societies.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.

  • Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, cross-functional, and multicultural environment.

  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (up to 30%).

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience in oncology product launches.

  • Strong network within the German oncology community.

  • Experience in investigator-initiated or real-world evidence studies.

  • Knowledge of German healthcare systems, reimbursement structures, and compliance requirements.

  • Track record in publication planning, congress presentations, and scientific communications.
