Associate Director Quantity Surveyor

OVERVIEW Atkins Search are currently recruiting for an Associate Director Quantity Surveyor to join a highly regarded, professional, multi-sector Construction Consultancy based in Nottingham, who are well known for their quality led services, commitment and fantastic company culture. Please note – if you are a Senior Quantity Surveyor, Executive Quantity Surveyor, Senior Cost Manager, Executive Cost Manager or Associate Quantity Surveyor who is seeking the next step in their career will also be considered for the role of Associate Director Quantity Surveyor. CLIENT My client is a well-established, regional Consultancy with offices located throughout the East and West Midlands. ROLE As Associate Director Quantity Surveyor based in Nottingham you will be responsible for delivering interesting projects with a hands-on approach throughout the whole project life cycle from inception to completion, ensuring all projects are delivered within budget, on time, and to the client's requirements. Your duties will include (but not limited to): Managing a multi-disciplined team consisting of Cost and Project Managers Providing advice on procurement strategy, risk management, value engineering and the overall tendering process Provide advice on contract arrangements Prepare tender documents Advising clients on tenders when received, including undertaking a full tender evaluation Prepare contract documentation Completing valuations Change monitoring Variations Budget management Negotiating final accounts Working closely with the Team and mentoring / working with graduates Developing existing Client contacts and relationships Developing new Client contacts and relationships Assisting with business development where necessary PERSON The successful Associate Director Quantity Surveyor will be aligned with the above job description as well as having: Construction related degree (or equivalent) Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Associate Director in a Consultancy setting Chartered status (or working towards) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop, build and maintain strong relationships REMUNERATION My client’s core business focus is to work together to deliver lasting, successful, quality outcomes and a positive legacy.
