What you'll do

  • Support marketing and business development by preparing pitch books, teasers and RFP responses, and coordinating/attending client meetings.
  • Assist senior team members with go-to-market planning, market scoping and identifying origination opportunities.
  • Coordinate key internal approval and governance processes (e.g., conflicts clearance, business approvals, transaction profitability/returns analysis, capital allocation, credit and environmental clearances), as relevant.
  • Support structuring of ECA-backed financing, including analysis of transaction risk allocation and key commercial terms.
  • Assist with execution of mandated transactions, including review and summarisation of due diligence materials (commercial, environmental, etc.).
  • Provide support on documentation for Export Finance transactions, including understanding and summarising relevant loan facility documentation where required.
  • Support ongoing portfolio administration and preparation of management information (MI) for internal stakeholders.
  • Guide and support Analysts and Graduates and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing (e.g., teach-ins/training) on ECA-backed financing; uphold HSBC’s conduct standards and fair outcomes for customers.

  • Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience in banking/corporate finance; exposure to Export Finance/ECA-backed financing is an advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of banking and loan/financing products, with strong credit analysis capability, understanding of credit metrics, and cash flow modelling skills.
  • Experience producing client materials such as pitch books and other marketing documentation.
  • Ability to review and summarise key due diligence areas (commercial/environmental) and, where applicable, understand core aspects of loan documentation.
  • Strong organisation and project management skills; able to manage multiple workstreams, prioritise effectively, and communicate complex information clearly.
  • Strong command of English (additional languages are an advantage).
