Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Associate Software Configuration Analyst / Software Configuration Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located onsite, in Melbourne, FL. Remote work is unavailable for this position.

Essential Functions:

•        Develops and maintains software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products.

•        Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable.

•        Collect and report CM metrics. Designs, develops, automates, and maintains productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development.

•        Designs and implements build procedures that are used to support software product development and use.

•        Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use. May train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards.

•        Maintain the Software CM system including the collection or distribution of code documentation, problem report and change request processing, and software build documentation.

Basic Qualifications:

Associate Software Configuration Analyst (Level 1):

•        Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university.

•        Must have a current DoD Secret clearance with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation.

•        Ability to obtain SAP access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Software Configuration Analyst (Level 2):

•        Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of software configuration analyst experience OR a Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university

•        2 years of experience in Configuration Software

•        2 years of experience with Software Library standup or maintenance

•        2 years of experience with Lab Configuration, Software builds and software review experience

•        2 years of experience with MIL-HDBK-61A

Applicable at Both Levels:

•        Must have a current DoD Secret clearance with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation.

•        Previous experience working in a SAP/SAR environment.

•        Ability to obtain SAP access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

•        Experience with agile Software development framework such as Scrum Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)

•        Knowledge of software configuration management tools; the candidate should understand CM/Release Management best practices.

•        Experience using software configuration management tools to manage baselines and support product release.

•        Experience in configuration management and able to work closely with the software development teams

•        Experience with Agile software development concepts, ability to work multiple tasks concurrently, and strong documentation and communication skills

•        DoD Top Secret clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $59,900.00 - $89,900.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
