Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Associate Telecoms Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Perth, Australia.

Key Responsibilities

You will support an experienced telecommunications engineering team in the design, testing, implementation, and delivery of communications systems for major infrastructure projects.

This role is suited to a recent engineering graduate or early-career engineer with 0–2 years’ experience who is keen to develop practical skills across telecommunications systems, IP networking, radio communications, fibre optic and copper transmission systems, power systems, and related infrastructure.

Required skills and knowledge:

  • You are a recent university graduate or early-career engineer with up to 1–2 years’ experience in telecommunications, electrical, electronics, or computer engineering.

  • You have a strong interest in telecommunications systems, IP networking, radio communications, transmission networks, and engineering design or testing activities.
