Automation Lead

Key Responsibilities
· Lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-scale test automation frameworks.

· Define automation strategy, standards, best practices, and governance across projects.

· Manage and mentor automation engineers, conduct technical reviews, and support career growth.

· Provide technical leadership in framework architecture, tool selection, and automation roadmap planning.

· Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to understand testing requirements and provide automation solutions.

· Drive test automation adoption across functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.

· Review automation code quality, ensure adherence to coding standards, and promote reusable framework components.

· Analyze automation results, identify product issues, and work with development teams for timely resolution.

· Lead estimation, planning, risk management, and project execution activities.

· Ensure timely delivery of automation solutions while maintaining quality and compliance requirements.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging AI-assisted development and modern automation practices.

· Participate in release planning, sprint ceremonies, and quality governance reviews.

• 8 - 12 years of experience in software testing.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience leading automation teams and automation initiatives.
• Experience in Verification and Validation of engineering applications preferably in healthcare domain.
• Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills.
• Experience in project estimation, planning, execution tracking, and risk management.
• Ability to define automation KPIs, metrics, and reporting mechanisms.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, presentation, and communication skills.

Technical Skills

• Python 3.10+ with strong typing (type hints, data classes, enums, generics)
• Test automation frameworks — pytest (fixtures, markers, parametrize, plugins)
• Selenium / Appium — WebDriver, element interactions, XPath construction
• Object-Oriented Design — SOLID principles, design patterns (POM, Strategy, Builder, Observer)
• Version control — Git (branching, commits, hooks)
• Visual Studio Code — extensions, workspace configuration, tasks, launch configs
• AI-assisted development — GitHub Copilot, prompt engineering, reviewing and validating AI-generated code
• Experience with ALM, ClearQuest, Rally, or other test management tools.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Experience creating, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Jenkins pipelines for automated test execution, reporting, and continuous integration.

Additional Responsibilities

• Conduct framework and automation architecture reviews.
• Drive automation maturity assessment and transformation initiatives.
• Establish coding standards and automation best practices.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and technical evaluation of automation engineers.
• Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and technical training programs.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Good to have:

• Experience in testing of Medical modality software, Medical Imaging platform in XR platforms.
• Knowledge in Health Care Standards & regulations like DICOM, IHE, HIPPA
• Familiar with tools like WinScp, Putty, Rally, Perforce, etc.
