About this role

Note: This role must be based onsite in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 

What you'll do: 

  • Own the communication layer, including command-and-telemetry links and multi-platform mesh networking
  • Develop and integrate resilient, long-range wireless communication links 
  • Integrate mesh radio systems into the onboard software stack 
  • Design and validate IP networking architectures for multi-platform communication 
  • Integrate MAVLink/telemetry links between platforms and ground systems 
  • Collaborate with hardware, integration, and test teams to validate communication performance in the field 

What you need: 

  • Background in RF/communications engineering or networking-focused software engineering 
  • Experience with mesh radios (e.g., Silvus, Doodle Labs, Microhard) 
  • Experience with IP networking 
  • Experience with MAVLink or similar telemetry protocols 
  • Experience with embedded Linux systems 

Bonus Qualifications: 

  • Long-range/beyond-line-of-sight communication experience 
  • Experience fielding communication systems for field-deployed platforms 
  • Background in subscale aircraft or robotics communications architectures

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
