Job Description:

Location: Sioux Falls, SD
Job Status: Full-Time

Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

About the Role

Oversee the management and maintenance of all company facilities across multiple sites, ensuring that they are safe, efficient, and conducive to the company's operations. This role is critical in supporting the company's mission by providing a well-maintained and functional work environment.


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of all company facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Developing, implementing, and managing facilities budget, capital expenditures, and forecasting future expenses.
  • Forecast and schedule disposal or replacement of company equipment.
  • Ensure all facilities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
  • Lead and mentor the facilities team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors to ensure quality service and cost-effective solutions.
  • This role includes budget development, communicating budget proposal to Senior Leadership and implementing and managing when approved, and leading and directing Facility Managers.
  • Interview, hire, and train new staff. Provides constructive and timely performance reviews. Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve facility-related issues efficiently.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale projects.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
  • Understanding of building systems, maintenance procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferred.
  • Experience in managing multi-site operations, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of generator operations, including routine maintenance and operational readiness.
  • Experience with automatic transfer switches (ATS), including operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Understanding of large uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems that support data center and building operations.
  • Project management experience with new facility construction and remodel projects.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP), preferred.
