What you'll do

  • Develop and execute the sales strategy and annual targets for our components and systems portfolio, including a clear view of target segments, customers and regions
  • Identify new customers and engage existing customer’s for our components and systems, and translate market insight into product and pricing input
  • Own revenue, margin and forecast accuracy for your portfolio, and report performance to Head of Commercial Product – B2B Systems & Components.
  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities with OEMs, integrators, defense primes and government agencies
  • Develop long-term relationships with key accounts and act as the B2B commercial counterpart for customer stakeholders
  • Represent Destinus at trade shows, conferences and customer meetings, and turn events into qualified opportunities
  • Lead the technical-commercial offer process from requirement to proposal, working with Sales Engineering on scope, specifications and feasibility
  • Prepare pricing, quotations and tender responses, balancing competitiveness with margin and risk with Bid Management
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms, together with Legal and Finance, and close deals within agreed guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with export control, sanctions and defense procurement regulations in every transaction
  • Act as the voice of the customer towards Product, Engineering, Supply Chain and Programs, feeding requirements and roadmap priorities back into the organisation
  • Work with Programs and Operations to ensure smooth handover, on-time delivery and customer satisfaction after contract award

What they're looking for

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, business or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 6–10 years of experience in B2B technical sales, business development or account management, preferably in defense, aerospace, electronics or advanced manufacturing
  • Proven track record of selling complex components, subsystems or systems and closing multi-stakeholder deals with long sales cycles
  • Solid technical understanding, with the ability to discuss specifications and requirements credibly with engineers and customers
  • Strong negotiation, commercial and contracting skills, including pricing and margin management
  • Hands-on experience with a CRM platform and structured pipeline management and forecasting
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable at both engineering and executive level
  • Fluent in English
  • Willingness to travel regularly to customers and events
  • Eligibility to obtain or hold a security clearance in an EU member state

About the Role 

As Components & Systems Sales Manager, you own the commercial success of our components and systems portfolio. You define the go-to-market approach, build and manage the pipeline, and win contracts with OEMs, system integrators, defense primes and government customers. Working closely with Commercial Head, Business Development, Sales Engineering and Bid Management, you translate customer requirements into competitive technical-commercial offers and negotiate deals that deliver long-term value. What You’ll Do 

Strategy & Portfolio Growth

Business Development & Sales execution

Offers, Negotiation & Contracting 

  • Lead the technical-commercial offer process from requirement to proposal, working with Sales Engineering on scope, specifications and feasibility

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work with Programs and Operations to ensure smooth handover, on-time delivery and customer satisfaction after contract award 
  • Keep the CRM and pipeline reporting accurate, and give regular forecasts and updates to the Commercial leadership 

Team & Ways of Working 

  • Coordinate with Business Development, Commercial team to keep sales activity aligned and well prepared 
  • Where applicable, coach and guide junior sales colleagues and contribute to building the commercial team as Destinus grows 

Requirements
