Balustrade CAD Technician

CADagency is delighted to be working with a manufacturing company based in Dudley, serving residential and commercial clients around the UK. They specialise in the design and manufacture of balustrades, handrails and Juliette balconies. Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for a CAD Technician with previous manufacturing design experience and ideally with some knowledge of balustrades. A central aspect to the role will be undertaking site surveys. For this you will need a full UK driving licence and you will be provided with a company pool car. On a daily basis, you will be meeting directly and, mostly independently, with clients. You will conduct measured surveys of the proposed locations for the balustrades and balconies ensuring accurate measurements are taken for manufacturing purposes. You will then follow clients or architects briefs to match an existing or create bespoke product. You will use CAD software to produce manufacturing drawings for the fabricators and finally assist the installation team with any queries. As you will be using the companies pool car, you need to be over 25 years old with a full UK driving license. The pool car must be returned to the office at the end of the work day. The role will be based at our clients offices in Dudley. Working Hours Monday – Friday 08:00 to 16:30 with a 30 minute lunch break. When on site you will need to set off early as sometimes you will need to be on site for 09:00 and may be back later than 16:30.
