About this role

Job Title: Echocardiographer 
Banding: Band 7 
Location: Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire 
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 3 months 
Rate: £50- £65 per hour 
Working hours: Mondays to Fridays

An exciting opportunity is available for a highly skilled Band 7 Echocardiographer to join a dedicated cardiology team in Clydebank. This role is ideal for a professional with strong experience in adult transthoracic echocardiography who is committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic services. The successful candidate will contribute to the accurate assessment and management of the client’s patients, working within a supportive and well-equipped clinical environment.

What will your responsibilities be:

The Echocardiographer will be responsible for performing and interpreting high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to support clinical decision-making. The role involves working closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive cardiac assessments. Maintaining accurate patient records, adhering to departmental protocols, and contributing to service efficiency and patient care standards are key aspects of the position.

Qualifications and Experiences: 

  • BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent relevant qualification
  • Postgraduate qualification in Echocardiography or equivalent experience
  • Current registration with RCCP or AHCS
  • Proven experience in adult transthoracic echocardiography
  • Competence in using a range of echocardiography equipment and software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload
  • Commitment to maintaining high clinical standards and continuous professional development
