About this role

Band 8a Locum Nuclear Medicine Technologist (SPECT-CT, ideally Cardiac)

Location: West Midlands
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 9am – 5pm
Pay Rate: £34.00 – £35.00 P/H

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Band 7 Locum Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our dynamic team in the West Midlands. This exciting opportunity is ideal for an experienced professional looking to make a significant impact in patient care within a prestigious medical facility. You will be working with cutting-edge technology and a committed team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional service and support in the field of nuclear medicine.

Responsibilities:

As a Band 8a Locum Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring accurate and high-quality diagnostic images. You will work closely with patients to explain procedures and ensure their comfort and safety. Additionally, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to interpret results and provide comprehensive patient care. Your role will also involve maintaining and operating imaging equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and participating in continuous professional development.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Relevant degree or equivalent in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably at Band 8a level
  • Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and imaging techniques - SPECT-CT, ideally within a Cardiac setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to patient care and safety
  • Up-to-date knowledge of radiation protection and safety regulations
  • Proficiency in using nuclear medicine imaging equipment and software
