This role is a data-centric hire for the Game Operations Business Intelligence team whose mission is to “Empower Game Operations with specialized analyses, tools, and expertise that enhance outcomes."
What you’ll do:
- Distill datasets into recommendations with clear visualizations and concise talking points.
- Scope and complete ad-hoc data requests about game mechanics, product, or user performance.
- Build, document, and maintain easy-to-use and insightful dashboards and reusable analyses.
- Partner with Game Operations and Product to address data, performance, and process gaps.
- Enhance datasets to increase usability and ability to perform nuanced analysis and reporting.
- Provide subject matter expertise on data, pricing, users, and game operations or mechanics.
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in statistics, finance, math, or business analysis.
- Advanced technical experience with SQL, data visualization (e.g., Tableau), and Excel formulas.
- Advanced experience in an analyst, gaming, consulting, finance, or data science role.
- Extensive knowledge or experience in sports, gaming, DFS, pricing, trading, or finance.
- Organized, reliable, curious, professional, communicative, and growth-oriented team player.
- Demonstrated ability with data-driven critical thinking, problem-solving, and recommendations.
What makes you stand out:
- Experience playing or optimizing play at a competitive level within sports, DFS, or other games.
- Personal projects related to sports, gaming, trading, pricing, DFS, Prediction Markets, or finance.
- Knowledge or experience with Python, R, MATLAB, or other programming languages.
Where you’ll live:
- While we prefer candidates based in Atlanta, we are open to qualified applicants from anywhere in the U.S. and are willing to consider remote candidates. #LI-Remote
Working at PrizePicks:
The typical salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000. At PrizePicks, we consider your role, level, and where you'll be working when determining our salary ranges. The compensation info you see on our job postings gives you an idea of the starting pay range for the position. Your actual pay within that range will depend on your specific work location, as well as your skills, experience, and education.
