As the BIM Specialist III, you will be responsible for developing and debugging XSLT transformation code, creating advanced parametric Revit content for complex HVAC products, and working extensively with product configuration applications. Troubleshoot content-related issues, test and communicate design problems for corrective action, and establish BIM content creation standards. Additional responsibilities are creating custom image renderings and scripts for software updates, leading process improvement projects, and mentoring team members.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Create, maintain and debug XSLT transformation code as needed per product each release.

  • Develop parametric Revit content for highly complex HVAC products requiring innovative solutions.

  • High involvement with product configuration applications/programs.

  • Troubleshoot highly complex content related questions or issues.

  • Test and communicate data/design problems to appropriate BU personnel for corrective action with each release.

  • Create/update and document in-house BIM content creation standards. Establish best practices and standards within department.

  • Create/update custom image renderings, tables and custom scripts for customer-facing software updates.

  • Lead process review projects to continually refine/improve internal processes.

  • Act as a lead by mentoring and developing junior BIM Specialists and assisting them with questions and resources.

 

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:

  • Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree or equivalent years of job experience required.

  • Experience: 4-6 years of relevant work experience required.

  • Knowledge and experience with Revit required.

  • Knowledge of CAD systems (AutoCAD and/or Inventor) required.

  • Intermediate programming skills at a minimum required.

TRAVEL

Minimum travel is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer and phone. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The person is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data, and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Occasional mobility required to attend in-person meetings and complete various office tasks.
