Experience

10 to 12 years' experience in systems development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop blockchain-based applications and smart contracts

• Build and maintain decentralized systems using platforms such as Ethereum, Solana, or Hyperledger Besu

• Write secure, efficient smart contracts using languages like Solidity or Rust

• Conduct code reviews, testing, debugging, and security audits

• Optimize blockchain performance, scalability, and transaction efficiency

• Integrate blockchain solutions with APIs, databases, and cloud services

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical leadership

• Stay updated on emerging blockchain technologies, protocols, and best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in blockchain development and distributed systems

• Proficiency in Solidity, Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or Python

• Deep understanding of smart contracts, cryptography, consensus mechanisms, and Web3 technologies

• Experience with frameworks/tools such as Hardhat, Truffle, and Foundry

• Familiarity with DeFi, NFTs, wallets, and token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721)

• Knowledge of security best practices and vulnerability mitigation

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and agile development

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field

• Contributions to open-source blockchain projects

• Relevant blockchain certifications or published projects

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Virginia is $121,564 USD Annual to $225,762 Annual USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
