A day in the life…

Join Seven’s Broadcast Support team in Sydney and play a critical role in supporting iconic programs including Sunrise, The Morning Show, 7NEWS and major live broadcast events. This role suits a technically curious and proactive problem-solver who enjoys troubleshooting, continuous learning and delivering innovative solutions. Please note this position operates on a 24/7 rotating roster to support Seven's broadcast operations.

More specifically, what you’ll do:

  • Maintain, repair, and support broadcast production systems and equipment across studios, control rooms, editing, ingest, graphics, MCR, and broadcast IT infrastructure.

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly to maximise system availability and provide critical support to live productions.

  • Install, commission, configure, and administer broadcast and IP-based technology systems, including software, networks, and user accounts.

  • Work closely with production teams, vendors, and third-party support providers to resolve faults, implement upgrades, and improve system performance.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement through proactive maintenance, documentation, research and development, system monitoring, and technology enhancements.

What will you need?

  • Experience or strong knowledge of broadcast technology, including television systems, broadcast IT, IP networking, and basic electronics.

  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work calmly and systematically in a fast-paced, live production environment.

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and operational teams.

  • Hands-on technical capability, including Windows/Linux administration, use of broadcast testing equipment, and the ability to install and maintain technical hardware.

  • A proactive learning mindset with a genuine interest in new technologies, continuous improvement, and developing specialist expertise in broadcast or IT systems.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a solid understanding of the digital and TV landscape.

From employee advocacy groups to our Reconciliation Action Plan and gender equality certification, we’re proud to lead the way in building an authentic, inclusive workplace.
