Business Analyst - Mobile Development

Location: First 3 months onsite in Fort Lauderdale, Florida (USA), followed by remote workd

About the Role
We are seeking a Business Analyst to bridge business needs with technical execution for a portfolio of mobile applications. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, Product Managers, UX/UI designers, developers, and QA teams to translate business objectives into clear, actionable requirements that enable the delivery of high-quality mobile solutions.

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with strong analytical skills, experience supporting Agile development teams, and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders and Product 
  Managers.
• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements.
• Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and process documentation in Jira.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to validate user journeys, workflows, and functional requirements.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure requirements are technically feasible and clearly understood.
• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Work closely with QA teams to ensure business requirements are fully covered by test cases and acceptance testing.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), supporting business stakeholders throughout the validation process.
• Identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Ensure traceability between business requirements, development tasks, and delivered functionality.

Core Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting software development projects.
• Experience working with mobile applications or customer-facing digital products.
• Strong experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and business requirements.
• Hands-on experience with Jira for backlog and requirements management.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, UX/UI, and QA.

Mandatory Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• Active U.S. B1/B2 visa valid for at least one additional year. Visa sponsorship is not available. Candidates must already possess a valid B1/B2 visa.
• Availability to work onsite in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for the first three (3) months onboarding, knowledge transfer, and close collaboration with the client team. All travel and accommodation expenses during this onsite period will be covered by Xebia.
