Position Summary:

BenefitHub is a fast-growing, PE-backed employee benefits and discount marketplace platform trusted by employers nationwide. We're looking for a Business Development Account Executive to drive net-new revenue by selling directly to large and enterprise organizations — building relationships with HR, Benefits, Total Rewards, and executive decision-makers, and closing new employer clients without relying on broker or channel intermediaries.

This is a high-autonomy, individual-contributor role for someone who thrives on complex, consultative, direct enterprise selling. You'll own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, engaging enterprise buying committees directly, and you'll partner closely with Customer Success and Account Management to grow the accounts you help bring in. If you like owning your own pipeline, building trust directly with enterprise decision-makers, and being measured on real revenue outcomes, this role is built for you.

Key Responsibilities:

    Drive Direct Enterprise Sales

    • Identify, prospect, and engage large and enterprise organizations (5,000+ employees) as net-new sales targets.
    • Build relationships directly with HR, Benefits, Total Rewards, Procurement, and Executive stakeholders — without broker or channel intermediation.
    • Educate prospects on BenefitHub's employee engagement, perks, voluntary benefits, and purchasing platform capabilities.
    • Represent BenefitHub at industry events, conferences, and executive-level client presentations.

    Win New Business

    • Own your targets for pipeline creation, new client wins, new eligible employees, and direct-sales revenue.
    • Lead enterprise opportunities from prospecting, discovery, demo and qualification through proposal, negotiation, and contract execution.
    • Coordinate demos, pricing discussions, and RFI/RFP responses, partnering with internal subject-matter experts and leadership as needed.
    • Keep your pipeline, forecasts, and close plans current and accurate in the CRM.

    Grow Existing Accounts

    • Deliver at least 15% year-over-year revenue growth across your assigned book of existing enterprise clients.
    • Partner with Customer Success and Account Management to identify cross-sell, upsell, and platform-expansion opportunities.
    • Build relationships with multiple stakeholders across your accounts and lead Executive Business Reviews when growth opportunities arise.

    How Success is Measured:

You'll know you're winning in this role when you're consistently:

    • Exceeding quota with new client wins and eligible-employee growth
    • Achieving 15%+ year-over-year revenue growth in your existing-account portfolio
    • Maintaining a healthy pipeline and accurate forecasting against your targets
    • Executing strong enterprise prospecting activity and new opportunity generation
    • Managing your success through disciplined CRM hygiene and sales-process follow-through

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years in enterprise sales, business development, direct/complex B2B sales and strategic account growth.
    • A track record of generating new business directly with large and enterprise organizations, without reliance on channel or broker partners.
    • Experience managing a full sales pipeline and consistently hitting new business and account growth targets.
    • Background selling employee benefits, HR technology, SaaS, employee engagement, voluntary benefits, or related B2B solutions.
    • Strong relationship-building, executive presentation, negotiation, and consultative-selling skills.
    • Comfort navigating complex buying committees across HR, Benefits, Procurement, Finance, and Executive stakeholders.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
    • Ability to travel as required for the role.

    Nice to Have

    • Existing relationships with HR, Benefits, Total Rewards, or Procurement leaders at large and enterprise organizations.
    • Experience selling into large, multi-location, or highly complex organizations.
    • A history of driving both new logo acquisition and expansion growth in the same book of business.
    • Familiarity with employee perks, voluntary benefits, loyalty, or workplace engagement platforms.

BenefitHub is proud to offer highly competitive salaries along with a very generous perks & benefits package for full-time Team Members:

    • Medical, Vision, and Dental (Employer paid 75%+ of monthly contributions)
    • The chance to sell a product that directly improves member lives
    • Domestic Partner Coverage for all insurance plans
    • 100% employer-paid Life Insurance
    • 401(K) retirement plan options (including employer contribution)
    • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO)
    • Generous Paid Paternity and Maternity Leave Policies
    • 11 Holidays (Including office closed day after Thanksgiving)
    • Professional development opportunities
    • Flexible work schedules
    • Collaborative and innovative work environment
    • Remote-friendly work arrangements
    • Employee discount program
    • Flexible Spending Account program
    • Voluntary Benefit Programs (STD, LTD, Life Insurance, Accident)
