What you'll do

  • Help prepare and maintain weekly dashboards, monthly status briefs, pipeline trackers, opportunity quads, gate reviews, and other as-needed tracking and briefing materials
  • Conduct market research using relevant platforms such as SAM.gov, PIEE, GovWin, LRAES, LRAFS, agency forecast lists, and other agency-specific portals, and gather documentation on opportunities of interest
  • Maintain and update the opportunity pipeline in CRM (CostPoint) or SharePoint, including status, probability, estimated value, and next actions
  • Assist with data calls, capability matrix updates, and internal BD process documentation
  • Track and coordinate teaming agreements and non-disclosure agreements
  • Manage calendars, coordinate meetings, take notes, and track action items
  • Maintain file organization of business development and proposal related presentations, documents, and reports
  • Attend industry days, conferences, or BD events for the company
  • Interface with different departments to learn about business functions including recruiting, contract management, and security procedures
  • Miscellaneous tasking as assigned across all departments including accounting, human resources, and contracts

Overview

Hepburn and Sons is seeking an energetic and motivated Associate Analyst to join our Business Development team. In this role, you will be a part of the day-to-day operations in support of the team's objective to identify, pursue, and win strategic opportunities that drive sustainable growth, strengthen customer/industry partnerships, leverage company strengths, and deliver tailored solutions to our government clients to support their mission. This early-professional level role is ideal for eager candidates looking for hands-on opportunities to learn the full lifecycle of government contracting business development and its supporting business functions. This position is located in Manassas, VA.
