  • Travel to customer sites to perform pipette calibrations and PM’s as necessary.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of various types of small laboratory equipment both in the field and in the lab.
  • Manage personal parts inventory effectively.
  • Provide feedback to Manager regarding any issue impacting service delivery, particularly issues impacting turnaround times.
  • Complete administrative paperwork and reports promptly and accurately.
  • Follow good documentation practices (GDP) as applicable to daily activities.
  • Contact customers on time and schedule service efficiently.
  • Adhere to environmental health and safety guidelines.
  • Effectively communicate with clients and other internal and external parties.
  • Follow Eurofins work policies and all applicable SOPs. Ensure that training on both remains current.
  • Maintain client confidentiality, specifically if information about the customer is obtained from sources other than the customer (e.g. complainant, assessors).

Job Description

The Field Service Engineer I/II - Calibration Technician performs Calibrations/Qualifications, Preventative Maintenance and Repairs on pipettes and various types of small laboratory instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Additional Information

Working schedule will be Full-Time, First Shift, M-F 8am-4pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of San Jose, CA are encouraged to apply. No relocation assistance will be given. This position is NOT remote. 

Pay range of Field Service Engineer I - Calibration Technician: from $24/h-$27; Field Service Engineer II - Calibration Technician: from $27/h-$30/h.
