About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Learning & Development professional to play a critical role within our Capability & Learning and People & Culture functions.

 

As the Capability & Learning Business Partner, you will lead the design, development, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement of impactful learning solutions that strengthen workforce capability across Care Services.

 

Working closely with operational leaders, clinical governance teams, educators, subject matter experts, and key stakeholders, you will develop innovative learning experiences that support regulatory compliance, workforce capability, leadership development, and organisational transformation. 

 

This role offers the unique opportunity to influence capability strategy across aged care, community services, and healthcare operations while delivering meaningful outcomes for residents, clients, employees, and the broader organisation.

 

Key Responsibilities

Learning Design & Development

  • Design and deliver engaging face-to-face, virtual, and blended learning programs.

  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create impactful learning experiences.

  • Develop learning solutions using tools such as Articulate Rise, Canva, multimedia content, videos, guides, frameworks, and resource materials.

  • Create capability programs that improve workforce performance, learner engagement, and business outcomes. 

  • Strategic Capability & Workforce Development

  • Partner with leaders to identify capability needs and design targeted learning solutions.

  • Lead learning initiatives supporting aged care reform, workforce capability, and organisational priorities.

  • Develop capability frameworks, competency pathways, and workforce development strategies.

  • Act as a trusted advisor on learning, capability, and organisational development opportunities.

  • Learning Governance & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain mandatory learning frameworks and compliance learning programs.

  • Translate regulatory requirements into practical learning pathways and capability solutions.

  • Support audit readiness through governance, reporting, learning evidence, and competency frameworks.

  • Ensure learning programs align with aged care quality standards and organisational compliance requirements. 

  • Workday Learning & Learning Technology

  • Act as a key Workday Learning administrator and capability partner.

  • Develop curricula, learning pathways, dashboards, assignments, and reporting frameworks.

  • Drive data quality, learner compliance, reporting accuracy, and learning analytics.

  • Leverage insights to improve learning effectiveness and business outcomes. 

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Change

  • Build strong partnerships across Care Services, People & Culture, Clinical Governance, Quality, Safety, Operations, and Digital teams.

  • Lead capability workstreams for organisational transformation projects.

  • Manage multiple learning projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Facilitate communities of practice and capability forums across the organisation. 

About You

You are a passionate and innovative learning professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders to solve capability challenges and create engaging learning experiences that drive measurable business outcomes.

 

You thrive in complex environments, enjoy balancing strategy and delivery, and are motivated by making a tangible difference through learning and workforce capability.

 

You Will Bring

  • Extensive experience in Capability, Learning & Development, Organisational Development, or Workforce Capability roles. 

  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering learning programs for diverse workforces. 

  • Strong instructional design expertise with experience creating engaging digital and blended learning solutions. 

  • Experience using learning technologies and authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Articulate Rise, Adobe Captivate, Canva, or similar platforms. 

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, consulting, and relationship management skills. 

  • Strong project management capability with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. 

  • Experience evaluating learning effectiveness and leveraging data to drive continuous improvement. 

  • Strong communication, influencing, and presentation skills.

  • A collaborative, solutions-focused, and customer-centric approach. 

     

Highly Regarded

  • Experience within aged care, healthcare, disability, community services, or other highly regulated sectors. 

  • Experience with Workday Learning administration and reporting. 

  • Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, workforce capability frameworks, compliance training, or accreditation requirements. 

  • Experience supporting organisational change and transformation initiatives. 

  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Education, or a related discipline
