  • Answers and records telephone information pertaining to crisis interventions, pre-screening of customer information, customer follow up and the completion of forms.
  • Maintains knowledge of organizations that provide community services; seeks referral information using directories and resource guides.
  • Operates automobile while performing assigned duties.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Under direction, provides coordination of services for clients by conducting intake assessments and interviewing clients for program eligibility. Assists with the following programs: emergency services, money management and financial literacy, weatherization assistance, transportation, food programs, housing stability and homelessness assistance programs, and utility assistance programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Services, Social Work, Business or a related field
  • One (1) year of experience working in human services with populations experiencing poverty

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Services, Social Work, Business or a related field

Required Licenses or Certifications

  • Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and operable, insured automobile for authorized travel
