Position Summary:
This position is responsible for overseeing Cashiering Operations on the casino floor for an assigned shift.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
- Assists the Cashiering Operations Manager/Director with the daily operation of the department including supervising, training and counseling the staff
- Enforces casino regulatory rules and regulation as well as casino internal and accounting controls
- Handles customer service and employee related problems professionally
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assumes the Cashiering Operations Manager/Director responsibilities in their absence
- Monitors business demands and makes necessary scheduling and staffing adjustments
- Works a variety of jobs in the department, as needed
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years of casino Cashiering Operations supervisory experience in a high volume, complex casino environment
Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills and the ability to delegate tasks
- Excellent administrative skills
- Basic computer input skills
- Knowledge of casino computer management system
- Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Training Requirements:
- Knowledge of Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and procedures
- Must attend all appropriate Human Resources Manager Training classes
- Understanding of Mohegan Sun’s Time & Attendance and Payroll system, Workday and vendor related programs
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Must be able to work in a smoking environment
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
