What you'll do
- Prepares and examines samples for evidence of pathological conditions, following established standards and practices.
- Receives specimens sent to the laboratory and plans the method of specimen processing.
- Assists physicians with fine needle aspirations.
- Reports/maintains patient test results in an accurate/timely manner.
- Stains, cover slips slides and microscopically examines specimens.
- Presents slides to Pathologist for examination.
- Maintains required records, reports, and statistics as directed.
- Maintains good relations with all staff and clients that use cytology services.
