Job Description

• Create artistic fruit and vegetable carvings and buffet displays.
• Design and produce ice sculptures and carvings for events and special occasions.
• Prepare and decorate artistic pastries, cakes, desserts, chocolate, and sugar showpieces.
• Develop creative concepts and themed culinary displays.
• Maintain high standards of quality, presentation, hygiene, and safety.
• Work closely with culinary and event teams to deliver projects on time.
• Develop creative concepts and sketches for ice sculptures and other culinary artwork.
• Select and prepare suitable ice blocks and use appropriate carving tools and equipment safely.
• Ensure precision, symmetry, finishing, stability, and visual quality of ice sculptures.
• Create artistic plating, garnishes, edible decorations, and themed food displays.
• Collaborate with chefs, pastry teams, event planners, designers, and creative teams to develop complete culinary displays.
• Experiment with new culinary techniques, textures, colors, shapes, and artistic concepts.
• Prepare prototypes and samples for new food and ice-carving concepts.
• Support food styling, photography, demonstrations, exhibitions, and culinary events.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, presentation, and workmanship.
• Maintain and safely operate carving tools, kitchen equipment, and other artistic equipment.
• Manage materials, ingredients, ice blocks, tools, and equipment efficiently.
• Complete projects within agreed timelines and event schedules.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef Artist, Culinary Artist, Fruit Carver, Pastry Artist, Ice Carver, or similar role.
• Culinary or pastry qualification preferred.
• Demonstrated practical experience in fruit carving, pastry decoration, and ice carving.
• Strong artistic and creative abilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of pastry, dessert, fruit preparation, food presentation, and decorative techniques.
• Ability to create and interpret artistic designs and sketches.
• Knowledge of safe handling and operation of carving tools and equipment.
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict event deadlines.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• A professional portfolio of fruit carvings, pastry creations, and ice sculptures is highly desirable.
