Role purpose

We are looking for an experienced Catering management professional to run kitchen operations in Test facility canteen at remote location. The role involves managing cooks and helpers, handling provisions, and maintaining hygiene while serving authentic South Indian cuisine for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. The canteen serves 25 people daily, with capacity to scale up to 50 people on special occasions.

      Key responsibilities

   Kitchen Operations

•    Oversee daily preparation and service of meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks).

•    Ensure timely and consistent food delivery.

•    Scale operations smoothly from 25 to 50 people when required.

   Team Management

•    Supervise cooks and helpers.

•    Assign tasks, monitor performance, and guide for efficiency.

   Menu & Cuisine

•    Follow a fixed weekly menu.

•    Prepare on-call snacks.

•    Provide beverages (tea, coffee, black tea/coffee).

•    Maintain variety, nutrition, and authenticity in South Indian cuisine.

   Provision & Inventory

•    Manage procurement, storage, and usage of provisions.

•    Keep records of stock, consumption, and wastage management.

•    Ensure cost-effective supply chain management.

   Hygiene & Safety

•    Maintain strict hygiene and sanitation standards.

•    Comply with food safety rules and company policies.

•    Conduct regular checks of utensils, storage, and cooking areas.

Required experience and qualifications

•    Diploma/Degree in Hotel & Catering Management.

•    3 years of experience in kitchen management or hotel catering.

•    Strong knowledge of South Indian cuisine; North Indian knowledge is an added advantage.

•    Ability to manage staff and provisions independently in a remote location.

•    Good communication skills (English required).

•    Strong commitment to hygiene, discipline, and reliability.

Working conditions and KPIs

•    Location: Remote facility at Anantapur dist. (18 km from Atmakuru, transport provided).

•    Bachelor accommodation & Meals: Provided by employer.

•    Work Schedule: Full-time, responsible for three meals and snacks daily.
