What you'll do
- Take ownership of a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring food is prepared and presented to the highest standards
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with Fortnum & Mason recipes, specifications, and quality standards
- Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, health and safety, and HACCP standards at all times
- Assist with stock control, stock rotation, and minimising food waste
- Ensure all mise en place is prepared efficiently and service runs smoothly
- Support and mentor Commis Chefs and junior team members, providing guidance and training where required
- Monitor the quality and consistency of all dishes leaving the kitchen
- Work collaboratively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience
- Contribute ideas for menu development and continuous improvement within the kitchen operation
