As a Chemotherapy Staff Nurse on our Oncology Unit at Guildford Hospital, you’ll drive the standard in patient care. You’re registered with the appropriate governing body, plus you bring the qualifications and experience that are relevant to your registration, including NMC. You also have post-registration experience.

As a Chemotherapy Staff Nurse, you will:

  • Be flexible, motivated, an excellent communicator and team worker. You need to be available at least one day a week.

  • Administer chemotherapy treatments to patients according to prescribed protocols with a valid SACT Passport.

  • Monitor and assess patients during and after chemotherapy sessions, ensuring their well-being.

  • ​Collaborate with oncologists and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.

Our facilities include 49 en-suite patient bedrooms, 4 operating theatres, acute dependency and oncology units. We’ve been awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark for cancer care and our Endoscopy service has achieved JAG accreditation. Our site is shared with an NHS Trust hospital, giving us access to their facilities. The working atmosphere is highly professional and stimulating, yet friendly and collaborative like that of a large family unit.

The hospital is easily accessible from the A3 or M25 and we are located about 1.5 miles from Guildford town centre.
