What you'll do
- Performs duties and responsibilities of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certificated Chief Flight Instructor
- administer the Flight Education Division of the Aviation Department
- manages all aspects of the Division
- ensures that flight instruction is given in accordance with federal regulations
- manages flight education programs
- FAA Private Pilot Cert.
- oversees flight safety programs, supervise Flight Education programs and personnel, and administer instructor standardization checks
- serves as FAA certificated Chief Flight Instructor
- assures instruction quality and student progress/completion, including exams and check-rides
- recommends and develops flight instruction programs, improvements, innovative teaching methods, and research
- instructs advanced students and assists instructors with special students
- coordinates content of classroom instruction with faculty, may provide classroom instruction

- FAA Commercial Pilot Certification with an instrument rating
- Certified Flight Instructor Certification.

- Aeronautical certificates and qualifications to satisfy FAR Part 141.35

The target hiring range for this job profile is $64,900 - $84,850. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
