ACG_3682_JOB Our client is one of the biggest conglomerates in Vietnam who is searching for qualified candidate to join their firm: Job Overview Chief Investment Officer is responsible for advising senior management on investment strategies for real estate products and projects in alignment with the Group’s strategic direction. The role develops short- and long-term investment plans, evaluates potential opportunities, manages the investment portfolio, and supports the Group’s sustainable growth and investment performance. Key Responsibilities Investment and Business Development Develop the Group’s investment strategy and propose short- and long-term investment plans. Identify, analyse, and recommend investment opportunities aligned with the Group’s strategy, including equities, bonds, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring. Conduct feasibility assessments, due diligence, valuation, and financial analysis for potential investments and business development opportunities. Perform valuations for the Group, its subsidiaries, and prospective investee companies. Lead the preparation of plans and documentation for initial public offerings and other securities issuance activities undertaken by the Group or its subsidiaries. Develop investment proposals for real estate projects, covering project scale, key components, preliminary phasing, estimated investment costs, and projected revenue. Coordinate the drafting and negotiation of investment cooperation agreements, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and project-related contracts. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Group’s investment portfolio. Assess potential real estate acquisitions and recommend suitable project acquisition opportunities. Prepare and oversee financial models, investment reports, loan-related documentation, and management presentations. Market Research Lead market research and analysis across relevant sectors, particularly real estate and energy. Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, customer preferences, and emerging investment opportunities. Coordinate the collection, consolidation, and reporting of market intelligence. Establish and maintain a comprehensive market database for the Group. Partnership Development Identify and engage potential investors, funds, financial institutions, and strategic partners. Develop partnerships for the Group’s real estate projects and other investment activities. Maintain strong relationships with international investors and foreign institutions operating in Vietnam. Team and Department Management Develop the Investment Department’s annual and periodic operating plans. Allocate assignments, supervise performance, and ensure timely delivery of departmental objectives. Coach, develop, and manage employees within the assigned scope. Collaborate closely with Finance and Accounting, Hospitality, and other internal departments on investment evaluation and project execution. Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Investment, or a related discipline. Experience At least 10 years of relevant experience in investment, business development, international cooperation, or a related field. Proven experience working with international investors, foreign investment funds, and financial institutions. An established network among foreign funds and institutions investing in Vietnam is highly preferred. Experience managing large-scale investment funds or investment portfolios is an advantage. Professional Knowledge and Skills Strong capability in real estate market research, investment analysis, financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence. Sound understanding of mergers and acquisitions, securities investment, corporate restructuring, and project investment. In-depth knowledge of international commercial law and international business practices. Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills. Professional proficiency in English. Personal Attributes Strategic and commercially minded. Proactive, diligent, and highly responsible. Strong leadership and stakeholder-management capabilities. Able to perform effectively in a demanding and fast-changing investment environment.
