Team / Division Overview

At DWS, our U.S. Wealth team is responsible for driving the growth and adoption of our Active, Passive, ETF, and Alternatives investment solutions across financial advisory and intermediary wealth channels. We partner with leading financial professionals and institutions to deliver innovative investment strategies, market insights, and thought leadership that help clients achieve their goals.

This is a unique opportunity to join a highly visible team and play a key role in shaping how DWS engages with clients, communicates investment ideas, and positions solutions in an evolving marketplace.

Your Role

As the Chief Investment Platform Strategist, you will serve as a senior thought leader and trusted partner to the Head of Platform Strategy & Placement. You will help shape and communicate DWS's investment narrative by developing research-driven insights, engaging with clients and industry partners, and representing the firm's expertise across multiple channels.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Partner closely with the Head of Platform Strategy & Placement to create compelling, research-based content that supports sales, marketing, and client engagement efforts.
• Develop thought leadership and market insights that showcase DWS's capabilities across Active, Passive, ETF, and Alternative investment strategies.
• Engage directly with key clients and strategic partners, helping position DWS solutions through targeted distribution initiatives and relationship-building activities.
• Serve as a visible ambassador for DWS by presenting at regional conferences, industry events, webinars, and client meetings.
• Collaborate with a broad network of internal experts, including ETF Specialists, Alternative Specialists, Product Specialists, Key Account Managers, and Internal Sales Consultants, to identify opportunities and drive business growth.
• Translate complex market and investment themes into clear, actionable insights for financial advisors and distribution partners.
• Help strengthen and deepen client relationships by effectively communicating the DWS value proposition and delivering differentiated investment perspectives.
• Conduct market, competitive, and industry research to identify emerging trends and opportunities that can inform strategic initiatives and client solutions.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a strategic thinker, skilled communicator, and investment professional who enjoys combining research, client engagement, and thought leadership.

Successful candidates will have:

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree and/or CFA designation preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in the asset management, wealth management, ETF, investment research, or investment strategy industry.
• Deep knowledge of investment products, capital markets, and intermediary wealth distribution channels.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex investment concepts for diverse audiences.
• Experience creating impactful thought leadership, research content, market commentary, or client-facing materials.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple functions and levels of an organization.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Experience representing an investment firm at conferences, industry events, or client-facing forums is highly desirable

License/Designation(s) :

• Series 7/63
• CIMA, CFA or other industry designations preferred

The salary range for this position is $200,000 to $250,000. Actual salaries may be based on a few factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.

DWS’ Hybrid Working model is designed to find the right balance between in-person collaboration and engagement in the office, which is core to our working culture, and working from home.
