What you'll do

  • Lead, coach, and schedule the Power Engineering and Refrigeration team to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
  • Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of ammonia refrigeration, steam generation, utilities, and related systems.
  • Respond to equipment failures and emergencies, coordinate repairs, and minimize operational downtime.
  • Troubleshoot complex operational issues and provide technical guidance to support team performance.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve equipment reliability, energy efficiency, and utility consumption.
  • Support maintenance and capital projects by providing technical expertise and coordinating activities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, codes, and standards governing boilers, pressure vessels, refrigeration systems, and environmental requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with regulatory agencies and support site audits and inspections.
  • Develop and maintain operating procedures, training programs, and competency plans for Power Engineering personnel.
  • Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Health & Safety teams to support plant objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage departmental documentation, contractor activities, and compliance records.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement while living the organization's core values.

  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate teams.

  • Experience driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and preventive maintenance initiatives.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

  • Willingness to participate in on-call and emergency response activities as required.
