Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with proven expertise in the planning and development of Hydropower and Pumped Storage Projects. The candidate will be responsible for project development from feasibility studies and Detailed Project Report (DPR) preparation through statutory approvals and project coordination. The role requires extensive experience in obtaining techno-economic concurrence from the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) and coordinating with various statutory and regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review Pre-Feasibility Reports (PFRs), Feasibility Reports (FRs), and Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for Hydropower and Pumped Storage Projects.
  • Conduct technical due diligence, site assessments, layout optimization, and engineering studies.
  • Evaluate project alternatives based on technical, economic, environmental, and constructability considerations.
  • Prepare project cost estimates, implementation schedules, quantity estimates, and engineering documentation.
  • Coordinate and review inputs from geological, geotechnical, hydrological, hydraulic, topographical, and survey investigations required for project development.
  • Review technical reports, drawings, and engineering deliverables prepared by consultants.
  • Prepare technical documentation required for obtaining approvals from the Central Electricity Authority (CEA).
  • Coordinate with CEA during appraisal of DPRs and respond to technical observations for obtaining Techno-Economic Concurrence (TEC).
  • Coordinate with Central Water Commission (CWC), State Water Resources Departments, MoEF&CC, Forest Departments, Geological Survey organizations, and other statutory authorities for project clearances.
  • Support environmental, forest, wildlife, and land acquisition approval processes by providing engineering inputs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable IS Codes, CEA guidelines, CWC guidelines, Ministry of Power requirements, and other statutory regulations.
  • Participate in technical meetings, design review discussions, and project coordination activities.
  • Prepare technical presentations, engineering reports, project notes, and management updates.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
  • Master's degree in Water Resources, Hydraulics, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related specialization is preferable
  • Minimum 10 Years of Experience
