What you'll do
- Perform structural analysis, structural design
- Prepare engineering design calculations for structural systems involving steel, reinforced concrete and masonry elements as per the relevant CSA Standards and applicable codes and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze structural systems and elements as required using Analysis Software programs.
- Support engineers in the preparing design documents and compiling engineering packages.
- Develop conceptual design, preliminary design and detailed design.Prepare technical specification documents.
- Apply sound engineering principles to assigned engineering activities.
- Compliance with applicable QA procedures and being responsible for producing quality work.
- Delivery of all technical engineering deliverables/task within specified timelines and budgets.

- Civil Engineering degree from an accredited University with 0-3 years industry Design experience
- Eligible to register as Professional Engineer in- Training, in a professional engineering organization recognized in Canada
- Knowledge of Analysis software commonly used in Civil/Structural engineering such as ANSYS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, SSASI, ETABS, SAFE etc.
- Sound knowledge of Civil/Structural Engineering principles
- Must have working knowledge of NBCC, CSA and other applicable industry codes and standards
- Eligible for Security Clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC)
- Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Ability to manage to work effectively under tight schedules and budget
- Good oral and written communication skills is a minimum requirement
