About the Opportunity
On behalf of a leading upper-1 civil infrastructure contractor, we are seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to lead night-shift delivery on a critical water main extension and wet utilities project at Adelaide Airport.
This project involves deep civil trenching, large-diameter water main extensions, live tie-ins, and wet utility relocations within an active aviation precinct.
If you are a proven Site Supervisor or Foreman currently working for an adjacent tier-2 or tier-1 civil contractor and looking for a high-reward role with an immediate start, strong shift uplifts, and ongoing local project security, this is your next step.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will take operational ownership of the night-shift construction window. You will direct self-performing crews and specialist subcontractors, ensuring works progress safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with airport operational guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct site crews, plant operators, and subbies during night-shift operations (7:00 PM – 5:00 AM).
- Manage trenching, pipe-laying, thrust block installation, backfilling, and surface reinstatement for major water main infrastructure.
- Ensure zero compromise on safety, environmental controls, and site protocols when operating near airside/landside airport boundaries.
- Look-Ahead Planning: Collaborate with engineers and project management to deliver on short-term production targets and manage daily shift handovers.
What We Are Looking For
- Demonstrated background as a Civil Supervisor, Site Foreman, or Senior Site Lead on wet utilities, deep drainage, or trunk water main civil construction.
- Cert III or IV in Civil Construction (or equivalent industry experience).
- Ability and commitment to work night shifts for the initial 9-month delivery phase.
- Experience working within airport precincts, major road corridors, or heavily restricted infrastructure corridors is highly regarded.
- Strong communicator who leads by example, backs their team, and maintains strong safety standards under tight shift windows.
- Must have full working rights in Australia and be ready for an immediate start in Adelaide.
