Civils CAD Technician

CADagency is delighted to be working with a well-established engineering company based in Nuneaton, specialising in providing high-quality industrial solutions. Due to continued growth, our client is recruiting for a Civils CAD Technician to join their expanding team.

As a Civils CAD Technician, you will be responsible for preparing detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD for various layout designs, including Sales GA layouts, civils layouts, pipework layouts, and stairs and access layouts. You will collaborate with the Engineering and Proposals departments to ensure all designs are accurate and meet customer specifications. Your role will also involve liaising with suppliers to obtain necessary information, assisting in preparing quotations for new enquiries, and ensuring that all documentation is up-to-date and accurate.

You should have:

• Proven experience using AutoCAD to create detailed civil and mechanical layouts
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with suppliers and team members
• A good understanding of engineering drawings and the ability to work with complex layouts
• Experience with 3D software such as Creo would be advantageous

In addition to these responsibilities, you will assist in the preparation of quotations for new projects, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure that all layouts are feasible and cost-effective. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with Health & Safety procedures, working independently, and meeting strict deadlines. Previous experience in a CAD or mechanical environment would be an advantage, as well as a background in the proposals department.

Our client offers a competitive salary between £35,000 and £40,000, depending on experience, along with 23 days of holiday plus bank holidays.
