Job Description

We are looking to hire a Class 1 Full Roamer Truck Driver to work out of our Whitehorse terminal. This position covers driver shortages across the Northern Canada Manitoulin network. Your key responsibilities will include:

 

• Operating Class 1 vehicles for LCV linehaul routes throughout Northern Canada
• Completing deliveries and pick-ups of goods in a safe and timely manner
• Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and reporting any maintenance issues
• Maintaining accurate electric logs and ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations and hours-of-service requirements
• Securing loads properly and verifying documentation accuracy before departure
• Communicating effectively with dispatch, customers, and management regarding delivery status and any issues encountered
• Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment
• Planning efficient routes and managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 Driver's License 
• 2 years of experience (For LCV Qualifications). We are willing to train qualified applicants
• Mountain qualified (will train the right candidate)
• Physically fit
• Criminal record
• Driver's abstract
