Eaton Asphalt is looking to hire a Class A CDL Driver to join the team!

The Class A CDL Driver safely operates commercial vehicles to support road construction, paving, milling, and aggregate operations. Drivers may operate a variety of equipment, including dump trucks, water trucks, asphalt distributor (tack) trucks, and other Class A vehicles as needed. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship.

Class A CDL Required Skills:

CDL & Driving

  • Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
  • HazMat and Tanker endorsements required.
  • Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles in construction and highway environments.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and vehicle inspection requirements.

Safety

  • Committed to working safely and following all company and DOT regulations.
  • Ability to recognize hazards and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Uses proper PPE and follows all job site safety procedures.

Teamwork

  • Works well with supervisors, dispatch, and construction crews.
  • Communicates effectively and maintains a positive attitude.
  • Willing to assist with other job site duties as needed.

Equipment Care

  • Performs daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Reports maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Takes pride in maintaining clean and well-maintained equipment.

Reliability

  • Dependable with strong attendance.
  • Flexible to work overtime, nights, weekends, and seasonal schedules.
  • Willing to operate different types of Class A vehicles based on business needs.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles.
  • Transport materials, equipment, water, asphalt products, and other job site supplies.
  • Operate specialty trucks, including water trucks and asphalt distributor (tack) trucks, as assigned.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and complete required documentation.
  • Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and crews to support daily operations.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, traffic control, and other construction-related tasks as needed.
  • Keep assigned equipment clean and in good working condition.
  • Report equipment issues and safety concerns promptly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in road construction or heavy civil construction.
  • Experience operating water trucks, distributor (tack) trucks, dump trucks, or similar equipment.
  • Knowledge of paving, milling, or aggregate operations.
