Come care with us at West Coast University! As a Dental Hygiene instructor for a certified Great Place to Work, assists with providing leadership in managing and implementing a comprehensive registered dental hygienist program in support of University, campus, or department. Enables an environment that fosters creativity, responsiveness, and self-responsibility. Responsible for supporting the delivery of the didactic curriculum, faculty and student mentorship, and student academic and disciplinary advisement. 

 

EDUCATION:

• Must be a graduate from a US Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accredited dental hygiene program.
• Master’s or higher degree from an accredited college or university which includes course work in higher general education and/or administration required.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Current California Registered Dental Hygienist license.
• Current American Heart Association CPR Certification (BLS) 

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of dental hygiene clinical experience. 
• Minimum three (3) years prior experience in academic leadership.
• Minimum three to five year’s prior experience in teaching in higher education. 
• Knowledge in technological support and delivery of educational programs and services. 
• Leadership knowledge in the program field to cultivate a learner-centered environment and to foster excellence.

CA Salary Range

USD $42.29 - USD $61.31 /Hr.
