A well-established health and social care organisation is looking for a Clinical Administrator to join its multidisciplinary team. The organisation provides specialist support services to clients and is committed to delivering high-quality care, maintaining robust clinical standards, and ensuring excellent service delivery through effective administration and data management.
Your new role
As Clinical Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting clinical operations, with primary responsibility for processing and batch printing prescriptions, liaising with pharmacy stakeholders, and ensuring the accurate and timely distribution of prescription documentation. You will maintain client databases, support reporting requirements, and ensure records are kept in line with contractual, regulatory, and clinical standards.
Alongside prescription administration, you will provide wider office support including reception duties, managing enquiries, data entry, minute taking, ordering supplies, processing correspondence, supporting building and facilities management, and assisting with IT and telecommunications systems. You will also contribute to performance reporting, maintain electronic filing systems, and work closely with colleagues to ensure service users receive an efficient and professional experience.
The role would suit an organised administrator with strong data management skills, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word. Experience maintaining databases, handling sensitive information, working within a busy administrative environment, and collaborating as part of a wider team will be highly beneficial.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a busy administrative position and a strong understanding of general office procedures. You will be highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities, and confident working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
You will possess excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience maintaining databases and managing data accurately. Strong attention to detail, sound numerical skills, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information are essential. Experience with data management systems, reporting, and prescription processing would be particularly advantageous.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key, as you will be liaising with internal teams, external stakeholders, pharmacies, and service users. The successful candidate will also be flexible, able to remain calm under pressure, and committed to delivering a high standard of customer service while supporting positive outcomes for service users.
