About this role
What will your responsibilities be?
- Provide specialist nursing care to patients receiving oncology treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and radiotherapy
- Undertake comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualised care plans
- Coordinate investigations, treatment and patient follow-up in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Monitor patients throughout treatment and manage symptoms and treatment-related side effects
- Provide patients and families with education, information, advice and emotional support
- Act as a patient advocate, supporting informed decision-making throughout the treatment journey
- Work closely with consultants, nursing teams, GPs and wider MDT colleagues
- Contribute to clinical education, mentorship, audit, research and continuous quality improvement

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have,
- Registered General Nurse with current NMBI registration
- Minimum 5 years' recent post-registration nursing experience in an acute hospital setting
- Minimum 2 years' experience in oncology/specialist nursing
- Level 8 post-registration qualification relevant to Oncology Nursing, or willingness to complete this within one year
- Strong clinical, communication and leadership skills
- Passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based and patient-centred care
