  • Maintains regular contact with sponsor to finalize monthly invoices and tracks revenue and outstanding invoices.
  • Coordinates with research regulatory staff to ensure each study’s consent form correctly identifies which procedures are paid for by the study and which procedures will be billed to insurance (SOC vs R) in alignment with the final clinical trial agreement and ensure charges have been routed to research appropriately.
  • Coordinates with financial billing contact for each study to ensure that billing and collection activities are in accordance with established budget.
  • Prepares an individual study plan to assist the study coordinators in completing study procedures and to ensure that supporting departments’ charges for study services are appropriately captured and billed to the study.
  • Serves as the point of contact to troubleshoot compliance problems and questions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Coordinates clinical trials invoicing and payment reconciliation. Reviews clinical trial protocols and negotiated budgets to determine research charges and appropriate funds. Coordinates with numerous departments to establish study specific billing plans. Serves as a point of contact to facilitate data sharing between the University and Hospital billing matrix, a process for determining standard of care vs research funded patient billing. Executes billing plans for each study.

Salary Range

$49,700.00 - $82,100.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
