What you'll do
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance, quality assurance, and relevant regulatory standards across all supervision activities.
- Play a pivotal role in supporting staff, ensuring they receive effective and timely clinical supervision to support safe practice and the development of skills and knowledge in the delivery of our specialist services to our client groups.
- Be sensitive to the complexities of each role within the organisation and treat all those accessing supervision equally and without prejudice.
- Liaise directly with the Harmless team to arrange supervision sessions.
- Work with colleagues to support staff and respond to emerging themes.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and auditable supervisory records to support formal conduct, capability, or disciplinary proceedings, as required.
- Prepare comprehensive quarterly supervision reviews and competency assessments, documenting supervisee progress, and evaluating performance against established professional frameworks.
- Contribute to the Safeguarding Reflective Cycle by synthesising supervisory trends into formal thematic reports to inform team-wide reflective practice.
- Actively engage in ongoing professional development and individual supervision to maintain effectiveness as a clinical supervisor
- Evaluate staff workload alignment with individual experience and emotional capacity, escalating concerns and offering recommendations to management when individuals are overwhelmed
What they're looking for
- Professional qualification in a relevant clinical discipline
- Full registration or accreditation with a recognised professional body (e.g., BACP, UKCP, HCPC, NMC, or equivalent).
- Recognised formal qualification in Clinical Supervision (or evidence of equivalent specialist training).
- Evidence of ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and commitment to regular personal clinical supervision.
- Substantial post-qualification clinical experience delivering therapeutic or mental health interventions to specialist client groups.
- Proven experience providing individual and group clinical supervision to multidisciplinary staff, including Therapists and Support Workers.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in writing formal reports, conducting competency assessments, and auditing supervisory records.
- Experience in trauma-informed care, self-harm, or suicide-prevention specialist services.
