Are you passionate about cloud infrastructure, AI, and helping organisations transform how they operate? Join Microsoft as a Cloud & AI Infrastructure Solution Engineer and help some of Australia and New Zealand's most innovative organisations modernise their technology foundations and become AI-ready. In this customer-facing technical role, you will partner with technology leaders, architects, engineers, and executives to design secure, scalable, resilient, and compliant cloud solutions that drive business outcomes. You'll help customers modernise infrastructure, accelerate cloud adoption, enable AI innovation, and realise the full value of Microsoft Azure.
 
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of cloud, infrastructure, networking, security, modernisation, and AI while collaborating with some of Microsoft's most strategic customers and partners across the region.
 


Responsibilities

2. Job Responsibilities

As a Cloud & AI Infrastructure Solution Engineer, you will:
  • Lead technical pre-sales engagements that help customers modernise infrastructure, improve resilience, and accelerate AI readiness.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor, influencing architecture and technology decisions across cloud, networking, security, and hybrid environments.
  • Design secure, scalable, and compliant cloud architectures using Microsoft Azure.
  • Deliver technical workshops, demonstrations, architecture sessions, proofs of concept, and pilot engagements that drive customer success.
  • Guide customers through cloud migration and modernisation initiatives involving Windows, Linux, databases, virtualisation platforms, networking, and enterprise applications.
  • Help customers adopt cloud-native technologies, platform engineering practices, containers, Kubernetes, automation, and AI-enabled operations.
  • Collaborate with Microsoft sales, engineering, partner, and services teams to develop and deliver customer solutions.
  • Maintain deep technical expertise across infrastructure, networking, security, modernisation, and emerging AI technologies.
  • Stay current on industry trends and bring innovative ideas that help customers achieve measurable business outcomes.


Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or other hyperscale cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containers, platform engineering, automation, or Infrastructure as Code.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as VMware, Windows Server, Linux, SAP, Oracle, databases, or enterprise applications.
  • Exposure to GitHub Copilot, AI-powered development tools, Agentic AI, or cloud-native architecture patterns.
  • Experience supporting large enterprise or industry customers undergoing digital transformation.
