A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Cloud Economics Manager reporting to Senior Manager Cloud FinOps

A bit about your role

Cloud Economics Manager leads organisation's cloud economics capability, encompassing Cloud & AI financial management and governance, cost optimisation, investment reviews and consumption reporting across AWS, Azure & Oracle cloud

Working collaboratively with Finance, Technology, Procurement, Architecture, and Cloud Platform teams, the role supports cost optimisation, forecasting, reporting, and investment governance to maximise value from cloud consumption. Key responsibilities include driving FinOps and AI FinOps practices, improving cloud cost efficiency, delivering actionable reporting and insights, supporting tooling and automation enhancements, and strengthening governance processes. The role also contributes to knowledge sharing, process improvement, and cross-functional capability building to reduce operational risk and ensure sustainable, resilient cloud financial management practices.

The ideal candidate brings experience in Cloud FinOps, cloud operations, technology finance, or related disciplines, with strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills. They have expertise across major cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and OCI, and a solid understanding of cloud cost optimisation, commitment management, financial governance, and AI consumption-based pricing models. The role benefits from experience in executive reporting, data analysis, automation, and cloud cost management tooling, supported by skills in Python, Power BI, SQL, or similar technologies. Success in the role is demonstrated through delivering accurate reporting and insights, improving cost visibility and governance, identifying optimisation opportunities, managing cost anomalies, supporting informed Cloud & AI investment decisions, and continuously enhancing FinOps processes, automation, and reporting capabilities.
