About this role
- JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Administer, install, configure, and maintain Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) 7.x environments, including Cloudera Manager, HDFS, YARN, Hive, Impala, HBase, Kafka, Ozone, Kudu, Ranger, Atlas, Knox, and Data Services components.
- Manage cluster operations and health monitoring, including service lifecycle management, upgrades, patching, scaling, capacity planning, and performance tuning
- Implement and support Active Directory integration, Kerberos authentication, TLS/SSL certificate management, Apache Ranger authorization policies, Ranger KMS, and encryption at rest (TDE).
- Experience on data backup, DR replication and restoration.
- Right attitude on troubleshoot and resolving platform issues, including cluster failures, performance bottlenecks, service outages, Kerberos authentication issues, network connectivity problems, and application integration challenges collaborating with IBM infra infrastructure, security, database, and application teams, bankers and Cloudera support.

- Cloudera CDP Private Cloud / CDH Administration or any other Hadoop distribution
- Linux (RHEL/CentOS)

- Apache Kafka, Spark, Flink, NiFi
- Apache Ranger, Atlas, Knox, KMS
- Kerberos, Active Directory, LDAP
- Ozone, Iceberg, Kudu, HBase
- OpenShift/Kubernetes
- Shell Scripting, Python
- Monitoring and Observability Tools
- Disaster Recovery and Capacity Planning
- Banking or Financial Services domain experience preferred.
