The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) applies cutting-edge technology to operating a reliable electricity system, managing competitive markets for wholesale electricity, and planning for the Empire State's energy future. The NYISO takes pride in recruiting, developing and retaining highly talented individuals. Our co-op programs give young professionals the opportunity to gain a fundamental understanding of New York electricity markets, bulk electricity systems and how we plan for New York State’s energy future.

 

The NYISO is seeking a Windows Systems Administration Co-Op to support endpoint management, device-data quality, and Tier 2 administration activities. The student will gain hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows systems, endpoint inventory, application deployment, ServiceNow asset records, incident analysis, and technical documentation.

 

The student will help improve the accuracy and visibility of endpoint and asset information while supporting Windows lifecycle and technology-governance initiatives. Assignments will also include reviewing operational trends, documenting recurring issues, and identifying opportunities to improve administrative workflows.

 

Responsibilities

The NYISO offers the flexibility to work both in the office and remotely, providing our employees with an enhanced work life balance. This internship will be a hybrid program, with the expectation that employees will be local to the Albany, NY area.
