The project: This role supports the Ministry of Justice's Accelerated Houseblocks Delivery Programme (AHDP), a c.£500 million initiative delivering new houseblocks and supporting facilities across six existing prisons in England as part of the wider government commitment to create 20,000 additional prison places. Delivered through an Alliance model involving Mace, Kier, Wates, designers and major UK contractors, the programme promotes collaborative working and the use of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) to drive efficiency, cost savings, carbon reduction and enhanced value for the MoJ.

As Commercial Manager, you will integrate with the wider programme delivery team, providing expert contract administration and commercial support. You will assist Project Managers in managing NEC4 contracts, oversee CEMAR compliance, and offer strategic advice to ensure contractual obligations are met.

This role is subject to Enhanced Level 1 (EL1) security clearance, which the successful candidate must obtain prior to starting.

You’ll be responsible for:
